About "Zago Technologies"
JSC "Zago Technologies" develops technologies with unique value proposition intended for growth of renewable energy
generation and ensures their implementation into the technological process.
Vyacheslav Zagoruichenko
Vyacheslav Zagoruichenko graduated from the Georgian Technical University with honors in 1971, specializing in “Power Plants and Systems.” Due to his outstanding academic achievements, he was immediately employed by a number of hydroelectric plants, including the Zahesi cascade, which consisted of up to 18 hydroelectric plants. Vyacheslav had a vital part in the establishment of Enguri Hydropower Plant and Zhinval Hydropower Plant, and after the division of Zahesi Cascade, he continued to serve as the director of Ortachala Hydropower Plant.
Vyacheslav’s interest in the creation of creative technologies in the energy sector was spurred by his university experience. He utilized unique and previously unknown approaches and procedures to a wide range of practical issues, which were unfortunately not described and documented until 2015.
Vyacheslav is proficient in computer programs, which he uses to plan inventions and keep up with scientific developments in the field of energy.
Already in the 1990s, in the face of limited resources, at various Hydropower Plants Vyacheslav utilized generator excitation systems that were unheard of at the time. This technology enabled Hydro Power Plants to generate electricity continuously without frequent repair of wearing parts (During Georgia’s severe energy crisis, important infrastructures were linked to this supply).
The difficulty of the 1990s inspired one of Vyacheslav’s inventions: a multiple-plate sectioned induction generator with external winding that generates high-frequency and high-voltage electricity at slow revolutions.
Since the 1990s, despite multiple offers for Vyacheslav to leave his home country and continue his work in the leading European countries, the inventor has never left Georgia, as continues to serve Georgia’s objective of providing an appropriate contribution to the disposal and efficient use of energy resources.
Taking into account the hydro resources of Georgia, Vyacheslav has invented a new kind of hydro turbine that uses water more efficiently and has lower material costs, making it unrivaled in terms of river size in Georgia.
Vyacheslav developed a number of significant inventions, the distribution of which will aid in achieving an even better rate of efficiency in the energy sector. Exactly the student years inspired the inventions of the wind machine and the wave machine, neither of which has counterparts to this day.
Levan Nikoladze – CEO
Under the direction of Levan Nikoladze, a team of experts was assembled to develop, patent, and introduce Vyacheslav’s ideas to the world.
Practicing lawyer, patent attorney, and founding partner of LPA Law Firms (which is directly involved in several multinational transactions, including those involving intellectual property).
Levan also successfully leads LPA Law Firm, which entered the Georgian legal market in 2009 and became a market leader.
Levan graduated from the MBA program at the University of Sheffield in 2022 with a master’s degree in business administration, and since 2021, he has led the implementation of Vyacheslav Zagoruychenko’s ideas at Zago Technologies.
Giorgi Kakabadze
Giorgi Kakabadze graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Technology of the Georgian Aviation University. He then continued his studies at one of the world’s leading aerospace engineering universities, ISAE-SUPAERO, in France, in the direction of “Materials Sustainability and Aerospace Engineering”, and in 2020 he received a degree in “Structural Engineering with Materials” from Nottingham Trent University, UK.
Giorgi has been actively engaged in professional activities since 2017; he has both academic and practical work experience at such companies and institutions as the National Science Library of Georgia, Tbilisi Aircraft Manufacturing (TAM), the State Military Scientific and Technical Center “Delta,” and others.
Giorgi has been a member of the Zago Technologies team since 2021, contributing his knowledge and assisting with the incorporation of contemporary scientific discoveries into our inventions. Giorgi contributes significantly to the selection of various materials to be utilized in the creation of inventions, as well as their processing in specialized programs to determine stability and other physical indicators.
Igor Timofeev
Igor, an electrician who graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Electronics, began his career as the head of the laboratory at television and video factory plant. Igor has thirty years of experience in the processing of electrical device circuits. He supervises the assembly and operation of diverse electrical circuits and automated work systems in a number of laboratories, including at operating hydropower plants throughout Georgia.
Valery Tazishvili
Master Mechanical Engineer. Valerian is a veteran in auto-moto sports; he has fifty years of expertise as a mechanical engineer and has constructed various vehicles and motorbikes with his own resources. Valerian assists the team in resolving mechanical issues successfully.
